I made this Extra large ulu knife full tang and from 1061 carbon steel. The edge is razor sharp and will shave hair. The handle is made of good old Pa curly maple with a little IPA wood for contrast. Originally designed for skinning this knife will skin large game  However this one works excellent in the kitchen in reverse grip or standard for cutting meats and vegetables scary easy. Just rock it back and forth to fine chop like a pro. I made a kydex sheath with leather belt loops. The sheath  makes it safe to throw in a cutlery drawer. Easy to care for wash dry and wipe with olive oil. Carbon steel will patina making it even easier to care .
